Sabina Chege, a Murang'a Woman Representative, debunked rumors that she was set to join Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance yesterday (UDA).

Ms Chege, who has been vociferous in Azimio la Umoja demonstrations, was rumored to be intending to join Ruto during his meeting in Murang'a town over the weekend.

Her defection was even posted on social media by DP allies. Ms Chege responded hours later on Twitter, tweeting photographs of herself and a campaign billboard in Jubilee colors with the phrase "Jubilee ni sisi."

She cleared the air once more yesterday after visiting the Jubilee party headquarters in Pangani, Nairobi.

She visited Jubilee headquarters yesterday dressed in crimson, accompanied by Jubilee Party Murang'a governor aspirant Jamleck and was welcomed by Kieni MP Kanini Kega.

She publicly said that she is a strong supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio la Umoja presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga, and that she has no plans to join Ruto's party.

"Today, all we want to do is show our critics that we are steadfast, and I am still in Jubilee. I just want to reassure everyone that Jubilee has returned home and that we will continue to work together as a team "she said herself.

She also mentioned that she was absent from the Azimio advertisements due to a doctor's recommendation that she relax.
