Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria has chimed in on Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua's decision to join Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja campaign. Kuria said he supports Karua's decision in a Facebook statement after Karua and Raila officially courted each other.
"I respect the decision by my sister Martha Karua to join Azimio just like she respected my decision to join the Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Ultimately Kenya is the winner and democracy will prevail. May the best team win," Kuria said.
The Chama Cha Kazi, CCK leader encouraged Karua to support the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and deputize UDA leader William Ruto on Tuesday. He went on to say that a Ruto-Karua ticket would free Kenyan politics from the dynastic rule. "Pick a side and put on your Jersey. I look forward to an imminent Ruto-Karua ticket to save this country from eternal dynastic domination and give hope to millions of children who went to school barefooted," he said.
Kuria, on the other hand, stated that if she picks the opposing party, Karua will remain a good friend. "If you don't change your mind, you'll always be my sister, senior, and friend."
Karua joined the Azimio camp on Wednesday, stating that Raila is her favoured successor in the 2022 contest. "I'm here to confirm that from now on, Narc Kenya and I will be supporting Raila Odinga, the Azimio La Umoja flagbearer for the president," she declared.
