Raila Tops In Nairobi While Ruto Takes Lead In Murang'a -Tifa Polls Reveal

The Azimio La Umoja candidate and the ODM Party leader Raila Odinga can win in Nairobi while his contestant Deputy President William Ruto can defeat him in the Murang'a region [if the general elections are held today] -Tifa polls say.

According to the polls released on Thursday, Raila remains the most popular presidential candidate in Nairobi City County at 41 percent and is followed closely by the UDA candidate William Ruto at 31 percent. "Whilst Raila Odinga is the most popular presidential candidate in Nairobi, the gap between him and DP Ruto is small enough to suggest that the level of contestation in this county will be high," Tifa said.

The same polls reveal that Deputy President William Ruto on the other hand is the most preferred presidential candidate in Murang'a county.

in Murang'a 71 percent of the respondents preferred Ruto's presidential candidature leaving Raila with 16 percent of the votes.

Meanwhile, 1% supported Governor Mwangi Wa Iria. 9% of the respondents are undecided while 3 percent prefer none of the three.

On other hand, Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja is the most preferred candidate in the Nairobi governorship race with 23 percent. Tim Wanyonyi comes second at 14% and Ann Kananu at 7 percent. However, 23 percent of Nairobi residents are still undecided. Esther Passaris remains the most popular Woman Representative candidate at 34 percent, her closest challenger, Millicent Omanga trails at 9 percent

The majority of the respondents are, however, undecided on whom to vote for as Senator of Nairobi County, with some respondents preferring the current senator.
