Machakos governor Alfred Mutua says Azimio can move on without Wiper party leader Kalonzo Msyoka.
Mutua said Kalonzo was indecisive in his move to join the Azimio la Umoja coalition due to his regular talks with UDA He added that it had reached a point where no one in Azimio is interested in his "dilly-dally" game anymore.
According to governor Mutua, people were tired of Kalonzo's 'hide and seek' games and were ready to move on without him.
"It has come to a point where it doesn't matter whether or not Kalonzo Musyoka comes to Azimio because people are fed up with his dilly-dally," said Mutua.
Alfred Mutua Says Azimio No Longer Interested In Kalonzo: "People Are Fed Up" Mutua accused the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) co-principal of being unprincipled, adding that sources privy to the goings-on intimated to him that the former vice president was engaging both Azimio and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in coalition-building talks.
"We know UDA has been talking to Kalonzo because they believe he is not principled. Because you're on either side. Today you're here laughing in the morning and in the evening you laugh somewhere else and we've got intelligence sources that have shown us how he is talking to everyone," Mutua disclosed.
The governor claimed that UDA wants to use Kalonzo to divide Ukambani votes and have an easy time at the ballot in the August 9 polls.
"I think the game here would be Kalonzo to run by himself so that now he divides the Ukambani votes so that they all don't go to Azimio. And they have been pushing it because that is the best scenario for UDA," he declared.
This comes barely a day after KANU Secretary-General Nick Salat urged his party leader Gideon Moi to lead OKA in joining Azimio if Kalonzo was not interested.
Speaking on Wednesday, March 9, during the launch of the KANU manifesto, Salat said the alliance will move on with or without him. “I do not know what he wants us to give him so that he agrees to go with us. He is taking so long. Just let him go. There is no time to babysit him. We love you and with or without him; we will have to go,” Salat said.
On March 2, Narok senator Ledama Olekina implored Kalonzo to join Azimio adding that some political leaders are misleading him.
